Come and Worship this Holy Week
This week, join us as we follow Jesus - from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the last supper with his disciples, his death on the cross, to his final, glorious defeat over the grave.
Palm Sunday, March 25, 10:30am - Our festive 53rd Anniversary! At our 10:30am Holy Communion Service, we'll commemorate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday with a festive service with Holy Communion. Additionally, join us for a celebration luncheon after the service.
Maundy Thursday, March 29, 7:30pm - Service at 7:30
Good Friday, March 30, 7:30pm - The Tenebrae Service, or Service of Shadows, is one of the oldest litugiries in Christianity. With the successive extinguishing of candles surrounding the Word proclaimed, we mark the growing shadows of darkness on Calvary until the strepitus (the closing of the door of Jesus' tomb) is heard. Then the vigil of prayer beings and continues until the light "comes up" again at the Vigil/Sunrise Easter service.
Easter Sunday, April 1 - Join us at one, or all, of our services on Easter morning to celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the tomb.
7:00am - Easter Vigil/Guided Prayer
8:00am - SON-rise service
9:00-10:00am - Easter Breakfast Buffet - all are welcome!
10:30am - Festival of the Resurrection service - In this service, we proclaim in Word and sacrament the glorious good news that death has no power over the Son of God or over those who belong to him, who bear the sign of the cross upon their foreheads, and whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life!
Faith is a church family that is demographically balanced by age, multi-generational, and is becoming ethnically diverse in membership, as it ministers within its community.
Worship is the central thing we do. Faith has two services each Sunday -- an 8:00 am spoken Eucharist and a second service at 10:30 am (9:30 am in the summer) which alternates five liturgies -- Traditional Holy Communion, Family Service of Word and Thanksgiving (with the Peli-Can Puppet Team), Contemporary Praise and Communion, Old Time Gospel Service, and Healing Services (on occasional 5th Sundays).
Our tag line - Where the name of Jesus is spoken - reveals our strongly purpose-driven emphasis on personal and corporate discipleship, concentrating our spiritual growth energies toward equipping through learning and ministry through serving.
