Outdoor Movie Night
Our outdoor movie in the parking lot has been a hit and will be continuing into September. We have welcomed almost 50 people some nights and most from the community. The schedule for September is September 6th “Monsters Inc,” September 20th “The Incredibles,” and finally September 26th the Eagles vs. the Packers for Thursday night football. Come for a movie, popcorn, ice cream and drinks! Plan on coming around 8:00 p.m. for end of Summer fun! And don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or a blanket...
Garden Club
Keep filling the garbage can in the Fellowship Hall labeled “Garden Group.” It’s paying off! The Garden Group is collecting aluminum cans, tabs and lids. Please rinse out your aluminum and place them in the garbage can. Marty Boland will recycle the aluminum and use the money raised for supplies (i.e. flowers/mulch etc.) to beautify the outside of our church. Look for our Fall workday in October!
Social Ministry Project
Our social ministry project for the month of September will be the collection of new socks for kids ages 5-12 for Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is a nonprofit whose mission remains clear: to provide children from birth through age 12 with the everyday essentials they need to thrive — at home, at school, and at play. Our overarching vision — a future free of childhood poverty — inspires our work every day.
You know the drill. Buy the socks and put them in the purple Barney bin under the coat rack in the foyer. Questions to Mary Lou Foster.
