Palm Sunday Dedication Envelope
In 2021, the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church replaced the HVAC units for the Sunday School Rooms and the Fellowship Hall. Since then, the HVAC units supplying the Sanctuary, Office and Nursery have continued to have wear and tear and deteriorate. At some point in time, we will need to replace those units. Adam Feldman recently reached out to a few HVAC companies for estimates. At current prices, it will cost approximately $25,000 to replace the units for the Sanctuary, while the office and nursery units are approximately $7,000 each. Currently we have $6,265 in our HVAC fund. The council has approved the use of the Palm Sunday Dedication Envelope to add money directly into this fund. So, if you are interested in donating directly to the HVAC fund, please place your donation into that envelope. Palm Sunday is the Anniversary of the founding of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montgomeryville and that is why the Dedication Envelope is placed on that day.
A note from Laura Cooper, our Music Director.
Dear Faith Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you, my retirement. After 30+ years of service, I have put much prayer and consideration into my decision. I wish everyone God’s grace as you move into the future.
My last day on the bench will be May 12th.
Your sister in Christ, Laura
The “Golden Girls of Faith” (Golden Men are welcome too!) will be meeting once a month for lunch, fellowship and prayer at a local restaurant. Where the Word of Jesus is spoken, heard, and lived
Our Vacation Bible School theme this year will be “Scuba: diving into friendship with God” where we’ll take kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. Kids will be immersed in the Word and discover what living water is really all about! Gail Achilles, our coordinator, is enthusiastically looking forward to this adventure. The dates for this year are Monday through Friday, August 5-9, 2024, from 9am to 12noon.
We will have our first VBS 2024 meeting on April 7 after 9:30 am Worship Service during coffee hour for those interested in helping and supporting this fun and Christian formation event for our youth.
Please contact Gail or the church office to volunteer to help. Thank you, Church Family!
Lord, when did we see you...?
The purpose of the Social Ministry Team is to follow Jesus' commandment to love one another as he loved us. To offer opportunities to our congregation to be good and faithful servants. To share the love and truth of Jesus Christ and to offer hope to all God's children by giving of our time, our money and ourselves to our church, our community, and the world.
The Social Ministry project for March is God’s Global Barnyard & The Giving Tree by ELCA Good Gifts
Your social ministry team is excited to offer you the opportunity to provide nutrition for children and their families. This outreach touches 88 countries throughout the world.
Please place your donations in the Red Barn on the table in the foyer. Just lift the lid. You are welcome to take a paper animal from the Giving Tree. Thank you to Chris Jones for making these.
Your donations can purchase: (1) Chick $10; (1) Rooster $15; (1) Goat $50; (1) Piglet $30; (1) Cow $500 or $50 to share a cow.
An animal can make a world of difference for a family in need. Animals provide food to eat, fertilizer to grow crops and offspring to sell at the market. With your gifts, we can help a family escape the cycle of hunger and poverty for good.
Our Sunday School children will decide what animals to send from the total of your donations.

Update on January’s Project
For our January 2024 Social Ministry Project, 30 Valentine Cards were signed by the congregation during Coffee Hours. The cards along with cookies baked by Kate Waldman, Leigh Ann Foster, Bryan Foster and Mary Lou Foster were delivered to the North Penn Adult Day Services in Lansdale just in time for Valentines Day. Those precious adults were so happy to receive the cards and the treats!
New Members…
On January 23rd we welcomed
Mary Spotts into membership at Faith.
Mary is Mary Lou Foster’s mom and has felt like a family for a long time. Now it’s official. Welcome Mary!
On February 11th we welcomed
Aubrey Rose Sousa to the Faith family by baptism! Welcome, Aubrey and congratulations to proud parents, Alexander and Taylor and big brother, Caleb!
FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY: The Fellowship Ministry Team at Faith tries to schedule activities for members of the congregation to spend time together to strengthen their bonds outside of the traditional worship service. We also encourage members to bring their family, friends and members of the community to these activities. This strengthens our ties to one another and opens opportunities to meet new people.
The Fellowship activity for March 2024 is Faith Anniversary Luncheon on Palm Sunday, March 24. Finger Sandwich Luncheon. (Hospitality Team & Anne Hutnyk) Easter Egg Hunt for the children (Beth Schoening.)
