will be held on Friday, November 8 (4-8PM) and Saturday, November 9 (9AM- 2PM). We will need members of the congregation to help out during the event as well as before the event as we need some muscle for set-up and then take-down. We are soliciting vendors to sell their products and will have several tables of which we will be in charge. We will have a kitchen with soups/ salads/ hot dogs for sale. Please contact Chris Jones about making soups. We will have a raffle table and Sharon Hood needs help in obtaining donations of gift certificates and other goodies from the businesses in our area.
Please ask Janet Hill (Church Office) for a donation letter. We will be selling jewelry that you are tired of or just want to replace with something new! We will also have an area where we will be selling donated Holiday Items or gifts. We will not have an Attic Treasures or Bargain area this year. We will not be sorting items and storing them in the shed for another event this year. We will not be selling clothing. We welcome your donations but would like to restrict them to decorating or gift items for the upcoming Holidays! Look for sign-up sheets and more information closer to the event.
Faith’s Annual Christmas Pollyanna
will be held on December 7, 2019 at the Prunkel’s home beginning at 6:00 pm. Please bring a covered dish to share and an eclectic gift to swap.
Lord, when did we see you...?
Our November Social Ministry project is the collection of boxes of quick breads for the annual Manna Thanksgiving Baskets. Place them in the purple Barney bin in the Narthex Hallway. Last date for donations is Sunday, November 17th. Information: Debbie Hollenbach (215-361-1402).
Speaking of Thanksgiving...
for the third year we will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner in the Fellowship Hall. Vince Hill has applied for Thrivent Dollars to help fund this wonderful event. We will meet at 3:30 pm on Thursday, November 28,
2019 to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings to enjoy with our church family (and maybe football.) So if you're looking for a place to go or just don't feel like cooking come and join us. Look for the sign up sheet on the Foyer bulletin board. All are invited!
For questions or more information, please see Vince or Janet Hill.
Sharing Christmas with Patrick, Adonis and Marielis from the Martin Luther School
God has commissioned us to share with others. For 30+ years, it has been my Christian passion to share at Christmastime with the children from Martin Luther School in Plymouth Meeting.
It was founded as an orphanage. It now provides a home, treatment, education and other services for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 who have experienced past traumas, including abuse, neglect and poverty. All services are provided in a nurturing environment that promotes recovery, resilience and, where possible, families reunited.
It is a beautiful facility and the staff I have dealt with for all these years is so dedicated and great to work with.
On Sunday, December 1, after the 10:30 a.m. church service, you will be asked to donate the money to cover the cost of the following children’s “Wish Lists.” The gifts will be purchased in advance and on display that Sunday.
Marielis (7)
- Barbie Doll with clothes,
- cute hair bows
- Shopkins toys
- Lego set
- art set with drawing paper
- kickball/playground ball
- Hot Wheels cars and racetrack
- Unto Attack game
- basketball
Your Christian love for these children through your generosity is most appreciated. Our goal is $150.
